[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The first in a series of asset management webinars supported by the IRF Asset Management Committee, this webinar provides an introduction to asset management data and how it can be used to support maintenance contracts and Public Private Partnerships.
The presenters will highlight the critical role that asset management data plays from three different perspectives: data collection and management, data collection technology, and industry practices and use.
Representatives from different IRF members will discuss their agencies’ efforts in this area, providing insight into the challenges encountered and strategies for success.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
Omar Smadi is the Director of RIMOS and research scientist at CTRE and an Adjunct Professor in the civil engineering department at Iowa State University. His research covers asset management, safety, and data. He chairs the IRF Asset Management Committee and TRB Committee on Pavement Evaluation and Monitoring. He is a member of the TRB Asset Management Committee.
David Lowe is the Managing Director for the global Transportation Asset Management firm Fugro Roadware. David brought cloud computing and 3d asset modeling to the highways industry almost a decade ago. He is a Graduate Engineer from De Montfort University, Leicester, England with a passion for technology and asset management. With Fugro Roadware, he serves many of the US State and Canadian Province DoT’s and many International agencies too, delivering asset, safety and condition information for over a quarter of a million miles of road every year.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]
