Japan Relief Fund Gets New Boost

JapanhideAmong other impacts, the devastating earthquake that hit Japan on March 11 2011 disrupted infrastructure and supply chains in large portions of the country. Within a month, IRF launched the IRF – Japan Road Association Relief Fund aimed at raising funds for training, research and educational grants dedicated to rebuilding Japan’s road networks. “In a time of need, the road community responded spontaneously and generously” stated IRF Washington Chairman Abdullah A. Al-Mogbel, as he presented Moriyasu Furuki from the Japan Road Association with a donation on behalf of IRF members worldwide.
