The International Road Federation and Kazakhstan’s National Highway Authority (KazAutoZhol) today agreed to jointly organize an international event providing key sectoral input to EXPO-2017, the international exposition to take place in Astana June 10 – September 10, 2017.

The exposition’s overarching theme “Future Energy” offers a key opportunity to highlight the sector’s tangible progress in the field of energy-efficient and cleaner road construction & operations with the advent of new materials and more sophisticated data-mining tools, both organizations stated.

The announcement was made by IRF and KazAutoZhol  on the sidelines of Kazavtodor-Kaztraffik-2015, a major regional road fair & conference held in Kazakhstan capital on November 18-19, 2015.

A formal memorandum of understanding is expected shortly following which the congress dates will be announced by the organizers.
