IRF Delivers International ITS Matchmaking
A recent mission organized for a delegation of Colombian municipalities and infrastructure operators to the United States with support from IRF constitutes a textbook example of the potential offered by scanning tours and the international matchmaking opportunities they provide.
After decades of neglect of its road and mobility infrastructure the nation of Colombia has been experiencing a transportation boom driven by vastly improved security coupled with rapid economic growth which are translating into extensive urban infrastructure renovation projects and a program to build highway connections between the mountainous interior and the country’s ports. There has never been a better time for IRF Members to explore the rewards of the Colombian transportation & ITS markets.
A new scanning tour is currently being organized for Mexican government officials and highway concession decision-makers to provide a broad orientation about ITS solutions and deployments.
