IRF Presents New AASHTO Guidelines at Road Safety Executive Seminar Series

AASHTO_1In keeping with its mission of promoting better, safer, and more sustainable roads, and in the spirit of the United Nation’s “Decade of Action for Road Safety”, IRF held a three-day executive seminar in Orlando, Florida on December 6-9, 2011. The event, which drew delegates from 11 countries, featured presentations by the World Bank, Federal Highway Administration and the Texas Transportation Institute.

The seminar focused on ways to implement a cost-effective Road Infrastructure Safety Management System centered around the 2011 AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, a key resource for highway engineers and contractors. The success of the seminar has led IRF to announce it will hold a nine-day executive seminar in December 2012 that will provide highway practitioners with unprecedented exposure to case studies and best in line remedial approaches.
