IRF Signs Landmark Agreement with the Organization of American States

OAS-logo_104255_2IRF and the Organization of American States (OAS) have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen human and institutional capabilities in the area of road infrastructure across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Thanks to this agreement, both organizations will actively collaborate in training and knowledge dissemination opportunities, on topics related to highway planning, operations and maintenance with particular emphasis on participation in IRF training seminars and increased graduate education opportunities for LAC professionals through the IREF scholarship program.

As a direct result of this agreement, IRF was formally invited to participate in the recent Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities on Science and Technology in Panama. The ministerial speakers discussed policies and initiatives to promote hemispheric cooperation to achieve a series of goals in the areas of science, technology and innovation by 2025 through enhanced partnerships with academia and the private sector.
