Online Training: Practical Data Science for Roadway Professionals

The main goal of this online training is to introduce the fundamentals of practical data science relevant to transportation and roadway experts. Various aspects, such as the use of different data processing tools, data visualization, data mining and artificial intelligence will be discussed through online hands-on tutorials.
Participants will be guided through various interactive course modules and hands-on tutorials to develop skills and knowledge to employ various data science tools on real-world example datasets. Roadway professionals, highway practitioners and local highway agency engineers will learn and benefit from the various aspects of practical data science that can be employed and implemented in their operations.
Online Training: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Impact in Road Infrastructure

This course will provide a basic overview of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) environ associated with road project delivery with emphasis on developing individual skills and organizational methodologies needed to deliver effective ESG strategies and plans. Using the new World Bank Environmental and Social Framework as a guide, the course will explore each of the ten Environmental and Social Standards developing insights on subject drivers and management tools useful for application in road project preparation and delivery. The course leans toward the public or owner view although all stakeholder perspectives are incorporated into the course material. The course is ideal for delegates working in planning, project management, and technical advisory with responsibilities for preparing or managing ESG impact assessments and plans.

This on-line training workshop will cover the main technical issues regarding Road Bridge Management, Inspection and Maintenance. The contents will be based on international standards as well as the hands-on experience of the course instructors. The workshop is addressed at highway agency executives and private sector contractors. The topics of the workshop go from the basic knowledge of Road Bridges and their main characteristics, to the visual inspection activities, until the most up-to-date concepts of Bridge Asset Management.
