IRF: What are some of the flagship solutions you are presenting at the IRF Global Road Conference & Exhibition?
Troxler is very pleased to be attending the IRF R2T conference and exhibition this year! We are a design and manufacturing firm specifically creating products for quality control purposes in the infrastructure industry. We are showcasing our state of the art Nuclear and Non-Nuclear density gauges used for testing the road after it is in place. These instruments are a staple in construction jobs and offer the most precise measurements for density. Troxler has distributors around the globe that offer these products and to date, gauges are used in over 160 countries. Stop by our booth in the exhibition hall to see and learn a little more from the Troxler’s themselves!
IRF: What mobility challenges do they address?
It is very hard to check the construction quality during the laydown and rolling process of an asphalt road. Density gauges are designed to take readings in a few minutes and do not require the road to be deformed by coring. Before gauges were invented, quality control technicians routinely damaged the newly constructed road by drilling out sample specimens to discover if the construction team was able to build to the job specifications. Gauges provide a non-destructive test and sampling procedure with ASTM and International Standards that can be implemented worldwide. Using these gauges provides assurance to governments and contractors that the work is completed right the first time and the road meets requirements to last the intended lifetime.
IRF: As an exhibitor, what is the value of presenting your solutions at an IRF Conference featuring a wide cross-action of actors from the public, private and academic sector?
Troxler believes that this venue provides a very advantageous environment to inform and present our technologies to a wide range of decision makers from across the world. The mix of professors, government and infrastructure ministry personnel and company owners provides a unique opportunity to get our message out. The opportunity to place equipment into the hands of those who can make a difference to their infrastructure quality is very rewarding.
