Safer Roads By Design™ Course Teaches Life-Saving Procedures and Guidelines

The 2nd Safer Roads By Design™: Across Six Continents recently concluded in Orlando, Florida, USA. This intense 5-day training course provided attendees a unique and energizing approach to building and maintaining safer roads. Industry professionals and high-level officials from multiple countries attended, including Belize, Canada, Guyana, Nepal and the United States. From the International Road Federation’s Executive Seminar Series, the Safer Roads By Design™ course included a two-day focus on performing road safety audits, with hands-on instruction from Craig Allred, a road safety auditor for the U.S. Federal Highways Administration. Over the five days, lead instructor Michael Dreznes stressed the importance of saving lives and reducing road injuries and deaths via intelligent and purposeful infrastructure planning, construction, maintenance and improvement.
