7th Brazil Road Congress – IRF Brazil Conference Draws 1,300 Delegates
The first IRF Brazil Conference was a result of the partnership between IRF and ABCR, the Brazilian Association of Highway Concessionaires, to bring top international experts to Brazil to share solutions for that country’s safety, infrastructure, and mobility challenges.
Consisting of a three-day executive and technical session program developed with support from the Inter-American Development Bank and The World Bank’s Global Road Safety Facility, the event focused on the needs of Brazil, providing overseas audiences with useful insights into the underlying trends and opportunities of this fast-growing highway market and learn from national and regional case studies.
Among the transportation leaders invited by IRF, the event featured Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh, Vice Minister of Finance of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dong, Vice Minister of Transport of Vietnam, Mr. Juan Carlos Latorre, Senator and former Vice Minister of Public Works of Chile, Ms. Alexandra Rojas, President of the Road (Accident) Prevention Fund of Colombia, and Mr. Miguel Salvia, President of the Argentine Road Association.
The event also included two days of IRF-certified training on the subjects of Roadside Safety Applications and NTCIP Communications Protocol for ITS.
