Brazilian Delegates Join Reverse Trade Mission
IRF provided critical support to a ten-day U.S. Trade & Development Agency (US TDA) sponsored reverse trade mission and scanning tour of U.S. deployments, products and services in the area of intelligent transport systems (ITS). The delegation consisted of senior Brazilian officials and corporate executives responsible for ITS.
This mission matched the delegates with U.S. providers of ITS technologies that can help meet challenges, as Brazil moves forward with ambitious plans for infrastructure modernization, including investments as a venue for the World Cup and the Olympics. The solutions presented included vehicle detection, electronic tolling, traffic management, and dynamic message signs. Delegates also benefited from senior level exchanges with the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank and the U.S. Federal Highways Administration.
