
Student Essay Competition Winners

The competition, open to member universities; gave students the opportunity to share their views on a variety of issues affecting road and highway related transported. Submissions were received on themes such as asset management; ITS; pavement materials; sustainability; and road safety amongst others. Essays were reviewed and scored by an expert of judges and in the end the following students were awarded:

Runner up: Brent Allman Cost Effective Designs To Improve Highway Safety
Essays served as an intersection between academia and real-world transportation issues; and submissions were adjudged to be of high-quality and relevant to the road and highway industry. The IRF congratulates all award recipients.
