TrafFix Devices Inc., headquartered in the U.S.A. is in its 32nd year as a global manufacturer of traffic control products and crash cushions engineered to meet road authority requirements throughout the world. Making their world debut at IRF Dubai 2017, The all-new Scorpion II Trailer (also available in a Truck Mounted version or TMA) now meets the new rigorous crash test standards for MASH (Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware), regarded as the highest in the world. The Scorpion II is the Worlds Fist and Only mobile Attenuator to meet these high standards. The patented TARS™, Anti-Rotational System, eliminates rotation during angled and offset impacts, preventing trailer separation from the host vehicle. Additionally, this MASH eligible trailer attenuator was tested, passed and eligible with a minimum host vehicle weight of only 6,800 kg up to infinite weight. The unique curved design gives full width protection to the back of the host vehicle and shields the deadly “coffin corners” of the truck.
TrafFix Devices, with its Middle Eastern partner, Midsign also proudly displayed the All New SLED water filled crash cushion, which has also been MASH tested, passed and eligible. SLED can be used to shield concrete or steel barrier as well as guardrail and has a TL-1 (50 kph), TL-2 (70 kph) and TL-3 (100 kph) speed rating and can be deployed as a temporary or permanent end treatment.
