17 Years and Counting – PBM Executive Training Continues to Break Records
The longest running Annual IRF Executive Seminar on Performance-based Maintenance set new records for attendance with senior executives from 17 countries attending this annual event. The seminar focused on trends across the globe, legal & risk issues with performance-based contracts, while also discussing in detail the necessary preparatory steps for an agency to implement a Performance-based Maintenance program successfully. Additionally, the seminar allowed for the attendees / speakers from different agencies around the globe to give presentations on their various country experiences thus fostering an important exchange of best practices and country dialogue.
Some of the distinguished speakers at this year’s program included Andrea Schliessler, Senior Transport Economist (The World Bank), Alejandro Gomez, Transport Specialist (Inter-American Development Bank), Pekka Pakkala, Researcher & Senior Transportation Engineer (AALTO University, Finland), Robert F. Fergerstrom, Consultant (Asian Development Bank), Mike Sprayberry, State Administrator for Maintenance Contracting (Florida DOT), and F. Howard Holland, Maintenance Division Director (Texas DOT).
